International Student Endowment
St. Margaret's School is an Episcopal boarding and day school for girls in grades 8-PG. The historic, 100-year-old school's campus is located on the banks of the Rappahannock River. The mission of St. Margaret's is to provide a safe, caring environment and to educate girls for life with a compelling college preparatory curriculum. Each student gains enormous confidence in what is called “the gospel of doing” exercising mind, body, and spirit. It is the only girls' school campus with over 1000 ft. of waterfront, which affords a distinctive experience.
St. Margaret's is a member of Church Schools in the Diocese of Virginia, enrolling girls from across the nation as well as international students from countries such as Afghanistan, South Korea, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Mexico, Rwanda, Vietnam, Ukraine, Poland, and others. International conflicts have led to increased enrollment of international students whose education is often violently suppressed in their native countries. The school's natural inclusivity in its Episcopal heritage promotes a powerful educational atmosphere for all girls.
There’s something special about the sisterhood formed while attending St. Margaret’s School. Sisterhood is a unique experience with no synonym that fits the bill. In recognition of the strength of the bonds that grew from our shared experience, St. Margaret’s is pleased to establish the International Student Endowment.
The world should be where everyone can live, learn, and lead without fear of repression, aggression, or suppression. Help give more girls from Afghanistan, Ukraine, and other countries that oppress girls the chance to thrive at St. Margaret’s School.
