Honor Code

On my honor, I will not lie, cheat, or steal. In addition, I will take responsibility for those in our community who do so.
As part of the process of educating the whole child, and in support of our mission as a church school, we at St. Margaret’s believe that each student must learn to live with others under a code of honor. The Honor Code requires that each student act responsibly; that she not lie, cheat, or steal; and that she provide a positive example and encouragement to others. During a formal service in Chapel at the beginning of school, each student signs the Honor Book, signifying her agreement to conduct herself with honor in this community; the presence of the community reminds her that she does not stand alone in her commitment. The Honor Council, composed of five girls elected by the school community and two faculty sponsors, educates students throughout the year on and enforces the Honor Code.
